Our Mission

As a multicultural organization, Girl Scouts exists to meet the unique needs of all girls and to help them grow into caring and confident young women. Our programs are contemporary and designed to deepen awareness of self and others, to build self-esteem and self-reliance, and to increase young girls’ abilities to succeed in the world and make a positive impact on the community.

About Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. was founded in 1912 in Savannah, Georgia, by Juliette Gordon Low. Today, Girl Scouts is the largest voluntary organization for girls in the world, serving 3.4 million girls with the support of over 800,000 adult volunteers. Girl Scouting is administered through 319 local councils, which organize troops and ensure the quality of programs in their geographic area.

About the Hudson Program

The Girl Scouts in Hudson are part of the Girl Scouts, Patriots' Trail CouncilIn Hudson, we have more than 140 girls ages 5 to 18 years old involved in Girl Scouting.  Our Girl Scout program includes fun activities, crafts, camping, friendship, and more.  We are also involved in many different aspects of community service in our area including Scouting for Food for the Hudson Food Pantry and several Holiday programs. In an accepting and nurturing environment, each troop leader works with girls to build confidence, enrich imaginations, and develop a greater awareness of Community with exciting activities, events, and volunteer efforts.

and to live by the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law

          honest and fair,

          friendly and helpful,

          considerate and caring,

          courageous and strong,

and responsible for what I say and do,

     and to:

          respect myself and others,

          respect authority,

          use resources wisely,

make the world a better place,

and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
